The planned expansion will add 14 acres to the campus. Bayer plans to begin construction on two buildings initially, one 80,000 sf and the other 100,000 sf.
The new buildings will make room for 300 employees and the development of a new drug. To win city approval, Bayer agreed to preserve a 160-foot brick wall on the campus that dates back nearly a century.
