The new store is one of 10 that the company will open nationwide in September, bringing the total number of stores to 902. The Livermore location will open Sept. 23 as Office Depot's 897th store.
It will be located at the corner of Las Positas Road and Arroyo Vista and employ about 40 people. The store is the first Office Depot in Livermore.
Other California cities on tap for a new Office Depot are Folsom and Studio City. Other locations will open next month in Arizona, Louisiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, Colorado and Texas.
