Old Singer Site Sold to NY Developers

LENOIR, NC-New York developers have bought the former 38-acre Miller Hill complex located northwest of Charlotte from Singer Furniture Co. for an undisclosed price. A manufacturing/distribution center is planned for the site.

Brookhill plans to turn the site into a manufacturing and distribution center, potentially for furniture or other industries. The three buildings aggregately offer 250,000 sf.

Some of the surrounding Singer-owned property contains contaminated soil that Singer is obligated to clean up, according to Brookhill chairman Ronald Bruder.
