The latest example is nearby Pflugerville, where ground breaks today on a $22 million, 350-unit apartment complex. The 36-building complex - 1825 Place - will be arranged in clusters of eight to 12 units. The Colonial-style development is being constructed by CD Henderson.
The Greater Pflugerville Chamber of Commerce says the project is a result of increased housing demands by Austin workers. Dell Computer Corp. in Round Rock and Samsung Austin Semiconductor LLP in northeast Austin are among the many employers who have beefed up workforces this year.
