Company officials of the Long-Island, NY headquartered firm say that with a workforce of over 452,000, the demand for computer programming and data processing professionals in Westchester County has increased by approximately 30% over the last five years.

"As the demand for trained information technology experts grows, so will the demand to fill these positions. NexTech not only offers training, but also has a job placement program to assist students find the right career," Izzo says. "The United States is facing a critical shortage of trained information technology professionals.

Salvatore Carrera, director of economic development/real estate for Westchester says "there is a great demand for trained professionals in the IT field. There is a need for this type of business, and I know they'll be busy. We have formed several cluster groups to help Westchester businesses feed off one another, so an IT training facility in our neighborhood fits right in."

Corporate National Realty of Woodbury, L.I. represented the tenant. Antares Real Estate Services LLC of Stamford, CT spoke for the building owner, ITW Mortgage Investments IV Inc. The 230 Westchester Ave. facility is part of the two-building, 85,000-sf Harrison Corporate Park complex.
