The Bethesda-based hotel conglomerate will still operate the hotels after the sale through agreements with an affiliate of Host Marriott spin-off Crestline Capital Corp. That affiliate will lease the properties from an affiliate of CNL.
The properties include three TownePlace Suites hotels, three Springhill Suites, Two Courtyard hotels and one Residence Inn with a combined total of 1,143 rooms. They are located in Georgia, Kansas, Maine, Massachusetts, New Jersey, North Carolina, Utah and Virginia.
