NJBA Makes its Own Proposal on Sewer and Water Regulations

ROBBINSVILLE, NJ-The state hasn't provided many answers to questions over the pending sewer and water regs, so builders group has developed proposals of its own.

When members of the New Jersey Builders Association, based in Robbinsville, NJ, met with state officials recently, little was done to clear the air regarding concerns over implementation of new water and sewer regulations. Most concede that some form of re-regulation is necessary given the state’s density and the impact of any project on its surrounding environment.,

But with concerns that over-regulation could stunt New Jersey’s economic growth, NJBA has come up with some ideas of its own, according to executive director Pat O’Keefe. NJBA proposes:,

• designating specific sites/areas for population and employment growth, with all growth allocated 100% to those places for the next 20 years,,
