Eric DeJernett, a retail specialist at NAI/Commercial Industrial Properties' Austin office, who has been involved in the transaction, says the space encompasses a retail showroom as well as service and warehouse space. "A major advantage for Indian is that this building was renovated and added onto Harley Davidson specs," DeJernett says. "The building is in excellent condition for their desired use."

With more than 200 dealerships in the country, Indian Motorcycle continues to grow and brokers say the Austin location should prove popular. "The North Lamar area has historically been Austin's motorcycle equivalent of the 'motor mile," DeJernett says.
