Additionally, in mid-year 2001, Riordan would become chairman of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Center for Real Estate in Cambridge, MA.

MIT's Center for Real Estate was established 16 years ago. It offers a Masters Degree in real estate earned through an extensive 12-month course of study. It also conducts a number of other shorter professional development and career guidance programs throughout the year and publishes research findings of its students and faculty.
