The St. Louis-based company leased 10.8 acres in the ASU Research Park, an office development at the southeast corner of Elliot and McClintock roads. In the first phase, Edward D. Jones plans to build a 130,000-sf office building, with another 250,000-sf planned for the second and third phases of the project.
Construction is scheduled to be completed by the fall of 2001. The Ryan Cos. was chosen as general contractor and Arcturis, based in St. Louis, was selected as the architect. Grubb & Ellis represented Edward D. Jones in the build-to-suit process.
The 350-acre business park, owned by Arizona State University, has slowly filled since it was started in the late 1980s. Other companies that have been attracted to the park include Motorola Flat Panel, TransAmerica and PKS Information Systems.
