The designers of the new Hampton prototype are eliminating a wall between each unit's bedroom and living area to create a more spacious feel. The new prototype room includes an ergonomic desk chair and larger work surfaces. The lobby/breakfast and pantry area, where a free continental breakfast is served, also is being expanded.
The Hilton-franchised Lufkin property is owned by American Lodging LP and managed by US Hospitality LLC, both based in Irving, TX. The new four-story hotel will be located on Texas 59 south. Hampton is a subsidiary of Hilton Hotels Corp.
