Boulder-based Oz Design will design the 9,700-sf center in the city's Lakewood Heritage Center. Oz plans a contemporary facility reflecting the style of a 1920s art deco movie theater. The visitors' center will be located in the Lakewood Heritage Center at 777 S. Wadsworth Blvd., which was built in 1976 and is comprised of 13 historic buildings housing a collection of artifacts used for educational programs.
