Motorola Sets Big Office Addition

PHOENIX-Division of high-tech giant will add 176,000 sf to its suburban Tempe HQ and hire 400 new workers.

PHOENIX-Strong growth in the telecommunications and semiconductor industries has prompted a division of Motorola to launch a new office project so it can house 400 employees it expects to hire in the coming months.

The three-story, 176,000-sf building will stand near the suburban Tempe headquarters of Motorola Computer Group, part of the high-tech giant’s Integrated Electronic Systems Sector. The site, at 2900 S. Diablo Way, is adjacent to Interstate 10 and just north of State Highway 60.

When complete, the new addition will house 1,000 employees. At least 400 of them will be new hires.
