Spieker Planning Eastside's Largest Office Building

BELLEVUE, WA-The Menlo Park, Calif.-based real estate company recently paid $15.9 million to purchase the downtown site, and has already submitted plans to the city for design review

Spieker Properties acquired a 2.7-acre site last week in downtown Bellevue and wants to build the city’s biggest office tower, though not its tallest.

The Menlo Park, Calif.-based real estate development and management company paid $15.9 million for several parcels is located on the south side of Northeast Eighth Street, between 108th Avenue Northeast and 110th Avenue Northeast. They were owned largely by the Griffin family, who at one time operated Griffin College on the site.
