The project is expected to create more than 1,500 jobs. The proposed new warehousing and distribution center will serve the company's retail outlets in the upper Midwest.

It is estimated that the center will provide more than $48.4 million in revenue to the state over the first nine years of the operation, according to officials at the Michigan Economic Development Corp.
