. This expansion into the Triangle and other Southeast markets has been made possible by a $170 million round of financing led by Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co., the New York firm that orchestrated the RJR Nabisco takeover in the late 1980s.
NewSouth had previously raised more than $160 million since its formation in 1998. Privately-held NewSouth expects 2000 revenues of $100 million.
