Under the agreement, Braintree-based Campanelli is designing and building the structure, and will sell it to NES upon completion in early 2001. The 53-year-old real estate firm, which has developed more than 10 million sf of commercial real estate in Massachusetts, is a specialist in industrial and build-to-suit construction.
Campanelli is currently erecting a 250,000-sf warehouse addition at its Middleborough park on behalf of the Christmas Tree Shops. Other ongoing ventures include a 380,000-sf distribution center at Fort Devens Commerce Center for Webvan, an on-line grocery distributor, and a 280,000-sf office expansion for the TJX Cos. in Framingham.
