The 23,000-sf store, still under construction, is scheduled for its grand opening October 21-22. The outlet at 145 Westchester Ave. signals the retailer’s entry into the New York Metro area.

“We’re thrilled to be bringing our concept to New York and to offer our customers the ultimate shopping experience in such close proximity to the Westchester,” says company president Kip Tindell. “The synergy between the Container Store and the Westchester will truly provide a one-stop shopping destination for our customers.” The Westchester is a one million-sf facility that boasts such upscale tenants as Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus and Tiffany’s.
