Redevelopment plans call for the construction of a 95-acre Arena District which will include 1.3 million square feet of office space, six parking garages, more than 300 apartments, and scores of shops and restaurants.
District developers are Nationwide Realty Investors and The Dispatch Printing Co., the Columbus-based newspaper.
Heinlein Schrock also plans to design an office building in the redeveloped district, across from the sports arena. The architectural firm has 11 employees in Columbus, with two dozen in Kansas City. The firm has designed other sporting venues, including a basketball arena in Miami and a baseball field in Seattle.<
