The 9,300-sf commercial space has been vacant ever since its development in 1996 by a joint venture of Eugene-based Guistina Resources and the California-based owners of the neighboring Citizens Building office tower. They sought tenants, but never enclosed or improved the commercial space, leaving the concrete walls bare and the dirt floor uncovered.
Now they are spending about $30,000 putting in a concrete floor and enclosing the space with a facade and awning. A tenant still has not been secured, but the enclosure work, to be done by the end of September, should help.
