Equity Office Names Scott Morey CIO

CHICAGO- Nation's largest office REIT taps former Ernst & Young partner to spearhead firm's technology drive.

CHICAGO-Equity Office Properties Trust has appointed Scott Morey to the post of senior vice president and chief information officer. Mr. Morey comes to Equity Office from Ernst & Young Kenneth Leventhal, where he was consulting services partner for the firm’s Midwestern real-estate technology practice.

“Scott’s leadership and expertise will be strong assets in our technology efforts,” says Richard Kincaid, Equity Office’s chief financial officer. Mr. Kincaid said Mr. Morey’s mission will be to maximize Equity Office’s expanding investments in technology. Mr. Morey has worked with Equity Office for more than two years as a consultant, during which time he helped implement software designed for the firm by software giant JD Edwards.
