Officials with General Growth Properties, the management firm for the mall, noted that the Galleria at White Plains ranks among the top one percent in sales per square foot of all shopping malls in the United States.
Prior to the opening of the Galleria at White Plains, retail shopping in downtown White Plains was dominated by small retailers on Mamaroneck Ave. Today, the Galleria at White Plains competes with the Westchester shopping mall as well as Saks and Bloomingdales that also have a presence in White Plains.
