The emergency 90-day ban was imposed Aug. 4, just after the Medina Grocery had closed. Officials are claiming big trucks needed for demolition would further snarl two city road projects.
The grocery store is currently closed and would need a new permit to re-open as a business. Property owner Hae Lee might re-open the store and operate it herself, but there are no definite plans as yet.
