CHARLOTTE-The Charlotte Housing Authority is sending out requests for proposals to developers interested in building on a 1.4-acre parcel in the city's First Ward area.
The housing authority will consider a cash offer for the land, a long-term ground lease or a partnership that generates cash at closing, plus a long-term revenue stream. Sharing in the developer's profits appears to be the agency's preferred option.
