Equinix Unveils 55,000-SF High-Tech Center

DALLAS-Equinix Inc., based in Mountain View, CA, is on line with a 55,000-sf high-tech center at Dallas' Infomart. The city's burgeoning high-tech industry triggers the company's decision to make a "significant investment" in the metroplex.

DALLAS-Equinix Inc., creator and operator of neutral Internet Business Exchange facilities, is on line with a 55,000-sf high-tech center at Dallas’ Infomart, 1950 N. Stemmons Freeway. The company has centers in the greater New York, Washington and Silicon Valley areas

The Dallas IBX project represents “a significant investment,” an Equinix spokeswoman tells GlobeSt.com. The structure is opening with five major tenants–InterNAP Services Corp., Level 3 Communications Inc., NorthPoint Communications, Qwest Communications International and WorldCom Inc.–and there’s more to come, says the spokeswoman. The structure is opening with 30% of the space leased, GlobeSt.com has been told.
