The college will occupy about half of the building for its administration offices and other college purposes. The remainder of the building has been made available for lease to private business. The Trione & Gordon real estate brokerage is handling the leasing. The building was formerly used as the offices of Southwestern Bell, which moved out in 1991.

The college purchased the building last year from the McShane Corp. A parking garage is being constructed by the college in the adjacent block to alleviate a shortage of parking.
