Port of Camas-Washougal Wants Industrial Land Back

CAMAS, WA-The port wants to buy back 45 acres near Seigerwald National Wildlife Refuge that it sold to the parks commission for $911,800 in 1991; the land sits adjacent the port's industrial park, which the port wants to expand.

CAMAS, WA-Commissioners for the Port of Camas-Washougal are lobbying for control over industrial land that it sold the State Parks and Recreation Commission nine years ago.

The port wants to buy back the 45 acres near Seigerwald National Wildlife Refuge that it sold to the parks commission for $911,800 in 1991. Earlier this year the Parks Commission was asking for $2 million for the industrial-zoned parcel that sits adjacent the port’s industrial park. The port wants the land for additional industrial park space.
