The class A property was built four years ago for the Hoechst Corp., which later became Celanese Americas Corp. The company occupied the property as its US HQ until it relocated to its current location in Summit, NJ last year. The company is a subsidiary of Celanese AG, a $4-billion chemical company based in Kronberg, Germany.

Created by the merger of Bell Atlantic Mobile, AirTouch Cellular, PrimeCo and GTE Wireless, Verizon needed the space to accommodate its growing workforce in New Jersey. Insignia/ESG's Bleeker Totten, Robert Rudin and Remy de Varenne represented Celanese Americas in the 11-year-plus lease assignment.
