Developers of the property are Kansas City-based Phil DiVilbiss and Matt Buchmann along with Bristol Partners III. Lawrence-based MarLan Construction is serving as contractor for the project.

"There is nothing similar to this office park in Lawrence,'" says Arthur Cromer of American Real Estate & Investments Inc., leasing agent for the property. "It will be the first time that there will be large space floors to lease. These buildings will be of very high-tech construction and will be suited for a variety of tenants, including those who may need laboratory space."

The first building will be a two-story, 54,000-sf structure. The next three buildings will each be three-story with more than 81,000 sf. There will be more than 1,200 parking spaces and a common area with fountain in the center.

Wakarusa Corporate Centre is located on the northwest corner of 18th Street and Wakarusa on the flourishing west side of Lawrence. Construction for the entire complex is expected to take four to five years.
