Big Speculative Office Park Underway in Lawrence

LAWRENCE, KS-Construction is underway at 22-acre, 297,000-sf speculative office complex. Phil DiVilbiss and Matt Buchmann along with Bristol Partners III are developing the project.

LAWRENCE, KS-Construction has begun on the speculative Wakarusa Corporate Centre here. The first of four buildings on the 22-acre site is scheduled to be completed this spring. No tenants have been signed as of yet.

Developers of the property are Kansas City-based Phil DiVilbiss and Matt Buchmann along with Bristol Partners III. Lawrence-based MarLan Construction is serving as contractor for the project.

“There is nothing similar to this office park in Lawrence,’” says Arthur Cromer of American Real Estate & Investments Inc., leasing agent for the property. “It will be the first time that there will be large space floors to lease. These buildings will be of very high-tech construction and will be suited for a variety of tenants, including those who may need laboratory space.”
