The chain restaurant known for gourmet hamburgers and creative mixed drinks has signed a lease for space in the Shops at the Old Mill District, a 150,000-sf entertainment and retail center being built on the east bank of the Deschutes River.

The owner of the restaurant will be Greg Hubert of Seattle, a founder of the Red Robin chain. He currently operates five of the restaurants, and is planning to open branches in Albany and Seaside next year.

In addition to Red Robin, Regal10 Cinemas, The Gap and Gap Kids, Banana Republic, Victoria's Secret, Bath & Body Works and Pacific Sunwear have locked up space at the Shops. The retail area is scheduled to open next spring.
