Park Hill is a neighborhood east of the Central Business District. Johnson & Wales University, a culinary arts and hospitality school, is buying the land and buildings of the current College of Law, located on the campus' west side.
Johnson & Wales, based in Providence, RI, last summer paid $9 million for 13 acres and eight campus buildings at the corner of Quebec Street and Montview Boulevard. Another large block of Park Hill campus buildings, occupied by the university's Lamont School of Music, has been sold to the Denver Public Schools District for $7.5 million. The university is leasing the buildings until 2002, pending completion of a new performing arts complex at the University Park campus.
