The project is located on the east side of Colorado 119, the town's main thoroughfare. The Black Hawk Casino by Hyatt is the first stage of a multi-phase project to create a destination resort. The casino will have 57,000 sf of gaming space within a 425,000-sf development.

It ultimately will include a 350-room hotel, gondola connection to a mountain-top recreation area, winery and complementary vineyard. Supplementing the casino will be an 800-space parking garage, restaurants and live-entertainment lounge.

Windsor Woodmont has spent $9 million to excavate a steep mountainside rising from the 5.7-acre tract. Hyatt will operate the casino through its Hyatt Casino Management division.
