The seller was Dallas-based Harvard Property Trust, which picked up the office building, located at 3033 Excelsior Blvd., in September 1997 for $18 million.
The Ackerberg Group already has about a dozen buildings in the Uptown area. The new building will enable it to offer one more option to tenants who need new space but want to stay in the area. The Ackerberg Group will lease and manage the newly acquired building.
