Tycom, a subsidiary of Tyco International, is a major provider of advanced broadband communications, including transoceanic fiber-optic systems, and operates one of the world's largest fleets of ships to deploy and maintain its undersea systems.

Haskell is joint venturing the construction activity on the 85,600-sf facility with Parsons Brinckerhoff. Scheduled for completion next March, the building will house transatlantic fiber-optic transmission and cable-termination equipment; the Wall Twp. location is not far from the Atlantic Ocean.

Phase one of the Tycom Global Network, now being deployed, will span more than 43,000 miles and connect more than 30 world telecom centers by the end of 2002. Ultimately, the TGN system will span some 250,000 undersea kilometers.
