Ford Motor Co. Expands in Lenexa

LENEXA, KS- Auto giant leases 115,000 SF of industrial structure for auto parts distribution.

LENEXA, KS- Ford Motor Co. has added to its Lenexa, KS-based facilities by leasing a free-standing industrial building at 9909 Lakeview Ave. Ford leased the 114,867-sf building to complement its 250,000-foot structure on Marshall Drive and a smaller 75,000-sf building in the vicinity.

“This is a secondary facility for them, but it will serve the company’s purposes very well until they can either add on to one of their structures or consolidate in another location,” says David Hinchman, who, with Kenneth Wasserman, both of CB Richard Ellis, represented Ford. “The proximity to its other locations and the great highway access both were big factors in their decision.”

Ford will use the space as an arm of its regional parts distribution center on Marshall Drive.
