Hire.com Buys Out California-Based On-line Recruiting Service

AUSTIN-The city's high-tech buyouts continue, with Hire.com assuming control of California-based Advanced Recruiting Technologies Inc. The acquired firm's team, including its founder, will join the Austin-based company in the digital world of e-recruiting.

AUSTIN-Hire.com, an locally based recruiting service, is acquiring San Diego-based Advanced Recruiting Technologies Inc., with plans to integrate its technology to expedite the time-consuming process of digital searches for qualified candidates.

Hire.com counts among its clients KPMG Consulting, Sprint, Eli Lily and Co., IBM, Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, GT Interactive, AT&T, SBC, Motorola’s Broadband Communication Sector, EDS, MCI WorldCom and Ingersoll-Rand. Hire.com powers the career Web sites for more than 150 corporate customers. The e-recruiter’s investors include Austin Ventures, Crosspoint Ventures, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and TL Ventures while corporate investors include the Hearst Corp., Pulitzer Inc., Essex Investment Co. LLC and Dell Computer Corp.
