Mercy Leases Space for Technology Campus in Yonkers

YONKERS-Mercy College of Dobbs Ferry announces that it has signed a lease for 40,000 sf of space at the ipark on Hudson complex in downtown Yonkers for its new satellite technology campus.

The college is currently occupying temporary space at the one million-sf former Port Authority Industrial Park complex that is owned by an affiliate of National RE/sources of Greenwich, CT, ipark on Hudson, LLC. Mercy College expects to take occupancy of its extension center space at Building #3 by early 2001 and hopes to house 300 students at the facility by next fall and as many as 1,000 students within the next two years.

“We believe that the riverfront at Yonkers has great potential, and Mercy is excited about our investment in the Downtown area,” comments Lucie Lapovsky, president of Mercy College. “This is a great partnership between Mercy College and the city of Yonkers and the result will be increased opportunity for every student in the area who desires a quality education.”
