The property, recently approved to be rezoned as an ndustrial district bythe Delta Township Board of Trustees, is designed to provide space to companiesserving two new General Motors Corp. plants nearby.There's a new Cadillac-Catera plant going up in Lansing, and small-carassembly plant in the township, says Dorian Lange, the owner of the newpark.
He says Tower Automotive, a tier one automotive supplier, has signed apurchase agreement with his company, Lange Ltd. of Eaton Rapids, for propertyin the park. The company wants to erect a 250,000-sf industrial building,with property to spare to build two more phases of new construction as themarket warrants. Tower plans on expanding the building to 450,000 sf.
The company will build the powertrain module for the Cadillac and Cateras,Lange says. "They said they're going to have about 240 employees to start off."The park is located near Mount Hope and Pierson Roads.
