Under the agreement, Southern Therapy will hold exclusive distributor rights for the Airsopure Model S-950 to the medical sector. A letter of intent was signed yesterday for the buyout.

Six-year-old Southern Therapy had recorded sales in excess of $14 billion two years ago. Its clients include AARP, Aetna, American Republic Insurance, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Hartford, Humana, Pacific Life and Annuity, Prudential Healthcare, United Healthcare, USAA, Wausau, along with Medicare Region B, Region C, Region D and Medicaid of Texas.

Airtech is the developer of an air-purification technology that enables smokers and non-smokers to coexist in restaurants and bars. Its corporate clients include Host Marriott, Alphagraphics, Bennigan's, TGI Friday's, El Chico's, Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouses and Sullivan's. Airtech primarily focuses on hospitality, prints shops, schools, hotels, office buildings, casinos, medical facilities and residential sectors.
