The company will spend about $800,000 to build a 6,000-sf office/warehouse on a two-acre site. Controls & Instrumentation will move from a 4,000-sf building in north Charlotte.
Convenience to Interstate 85 for shipping and receiving by truck was one of the reasons the company chose the site.
Most of the company's employees live near the current north Charlotte facility. Construction on the new facility is scheduled to start later this year and be completed in the third quarter of next year.
The Keith Corp., developers of the park, are negotiating a four-acre deal for a second site. Plans for a 40,000-sf spec building have been delayed until later this year.
