The Bethesda-based construction company is building a 10-story office building at 799 Ninth St. NW. It is the latest groundbreaking in Washington DC's East End, an area that has probably been the most dramatically transformed by the long-lasting turn in the real estate economy.

The 215,000-sf office building, being jointly developed by Development Resources and CarrAmerica Urban Development, is already 50% leased. Construction is expected to be finished by November 2001.

Clark has also started work on Monument IV, a 229,000-sf building in the suburban Worldgate complex in Herndon. Monument Realty is developing the nine-story building, and Clark expects it to be finished by July 2001.
