CommScope Expands Headquarters Again

HICKORY, NC-Site preparation has begun on CommScope Inc.'s new 80,000-sf headquarters here, about 50 miles northwest of Charlotte. The fiber-optic company's total manufacturing and distribution space is more than one million sf.

HICKORY, NC-A new 80,000-sf headquarters structure is being built for CommScope Inc. in Piedmont Center near Interstate 40, about 50 miles northwest of Charlotte. The fiber-optic company has expanded its headquarters four times since moving here in the early 1980s.

The new facility, being built by Wachovia Capital Investments and managed by Binswanger Corp., is part of a five-year, $135-million expansion program announced last year.
