It will be the first major retail development in south Fulton County in more than 20 years when construction begins in the summer of 2001. The center is scheduled to open in spring of 2002.

Plans for the 710,000-sf Camp Creek Marketplace call for at least 13 big box retailers and five restaurants in addition to a number of smaller merchants.

While tenants have yet to be signed, North American has relationships with major retailers, such as Borders Books & Music, Office Max and Toys R Us in its other Atlanta retail developments.

North American developed Marketplace at Mill Creek near the Mall of Georgia in Gwinnett County in the northeast quadrant and Stonecrest Marketplace, 25 miles east of the city.
