The 900-sf Metropolitan Improvement District station was brought to fruition with donations and resources from several small businesses and community groups that make the Pioneer District their home. The facility will be shared by community groups and city agencies, including Pioneer Square Community Council, MID safety ambassadors, a sub-police station, the city's graffiti task force and the state Department of Corrections.
The offices, supported by many business owners in the area, are expected to make the area more attractive for businesses looking for retail or office space.
