Office, Theater Buildings Up For Sale

SAN JOSE, CA-The Pavilion, built in 1989 and revamped last year, is 75% occupied by AboveNet Communications. The three-story, eight-screen theater property is owned by United Artists.

Redevelopment officials have said they want the former UA building to be sold to local theater company Camera Cinemas. Camera already owns locations on South First Street and South Second Street, but says it would close those theaters if they were able to purchase the United Artists space.

Both buildings are being marketed by Forest City Enterprises Inc., a Cleveland-based investment banking trust. Asking prices were not immediately available.
