The site is being developed by Industrial Developments International of Dallas, Gary Lindsey, one of two Grubb & Ellis Co. brokers who represented ACT, told GlobeSt.com. Details about groundbreaking and delivery are not available. The Plano Industrial Park developer, IDI, represented itself in the transaction.

ACT currently has nearly 1.5 million sf in state-of-the-art technology design centers and low-cost manufacturing sites worldwide. It has operations in Marlboro, MA., Huntsville, AL., Lawrenceville, GA., Corinth, MS, Santa Clara, CA, Hermosillo, Mexico, Angers, France, Thailand, Ireland, Singapore and Taiwan.

In early September, ACT put finishing touches on the acquisition of Bull Electronics Anger, paying $56.6 million plus a working capital adjustment of about $50 million, according to company records. The Bull Electronics facility contains 230,000 sf and employs 750 workers. Earlier in the year, ACT had acquired GSS Array Public Co. Ltd. in Thailand.

ACT provides value-added manufacturing services to original equipment manufacturers in networking and communications industries. The company, founded in 1982, is based in Hudson, MA.
