Hughes will develop of the centers. Weingarten will lease and manage the assets, and provide guidance on site acquisition and anchor tenant selection.
Hughes has a 2.1 million sf portfolio of community shopping centers, apartment complexes, office and other assets. Weingarten has 248 income-producing properties in 14 states, primarily in the Southwest.
