Hunt Midwest Building Facility For Mack Trucks

KANSAS CITY, MO-Hunt Midwest Real Estate Development has sold land and is developing a sales and service facility for Mack Trucks. The deal is unusual for Hunt Midwest, which is also design/builder for the project.

KANSAS CITY, MO-Mack Trucks Inc. has purchased nearly 10 acres from Hunt Midwest RealEstate Development in Kansas City, North, where construction is scheduled to begin on asales and service center.

The 28,000 square foot facility is estimated to cost about $3 millionand take about nine months to complete. More than 50 people will work atthe center, which will house 400 to 500 new and used power units.

Hunt Midwest is both the developer and design/build contractor for theproject, an unusual role for the company. Hunt Midwest has served inthese capacities in SubTropolis, its underground industrial park formore than 20 years, but in the past has had buyers of above groundproperties make their own construction arrangements.
