Felicia Trader, holder of the prominent post for the past three years, says she is retiring from the job in January to spend more time traveling and visiting with family. Trader took over the PDC in 1997 and fought through voter-approved property tax limitations that temporarily softened the agency's impact.
Major project approvals gained while Trader was at the post include airport light rail, the East Bank Esplanade and the Portland Street Car. All three projects are currently under construction.
